After watching a documentary on the selection process for the Australian SAS it got me thinking about feedback.

All participants went in as elite soldiers so were more prepared than most for what lay ahead - 19 days of sheer hell (well at least through  layman’s  eyes).

Mental, physical and emotional hell! Experiences that an ‘average’ person would struggle to last hours in, let alone days.

I understand why the selection process was like this and had nothing but admiration for participants – failed or otherwise.

There was much about the process that fascinated me, particularly from a people development point of view.
